The safest cities in North Carolina also boast a property crime rate thatï¿½s nearly 20 percent less than the typical U.S. city.According to the most recent FBI Crime Report data, many of the safest cities in the Tar Heel state reported less than a dozen incidents of violent crime. Then, we determined how often these crimes were reported per 1,000 people.The FBI Crime Report is a well respected source for crime data, but not all North Carolina cities reported complete data to the FBI.
